Elderberries have a long, rich history of use in traditional medicine. For centuries, elderberry was relied on as a winter remedy for the immune system. In Native American medicine, it was used to treat infections and stimulate quick recovery. Even Ancient Egyptians made use of these beautiful berries, using them as a way to help heal burns.

These days, elderberry syrup continues to be used as an immune support supplement to boost the immune system during times of seasonal illness, help ease inflammation in the body, and to ease symptoms of infection. There is even evidence to suggest it may support heart health, improve antioxidant status and have a variety of anti-cancer, anti-diabetes and anti-inflammatory effects.*

Sambucus Sugar Free Elderberry Syrup is packed with all the natural vitamins and minerals found in the elderberry plant. It is rich in Vitamins C and B6, as well as iron, potassium, and beta-carotene — and we haven’t even mentioned all the antioxidants elderberry syrup is packed with! (Antioxidants help fight free radicals and oxidative stress associated with inflammation and inflammation-related diseases.)*

Sambucus Sugar Free Elderberry Syrup is;

  • High in Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, iron, potassium, and beta-carotene
  • Good source phenolic acids, which are powerful antioxidants that help reduce the damage of free radicals and oxidative stress on the body*
  • A good source of flavonoids, quercitin, kaempferol, and isorhamnetin.
  • Rich in anthocyanins that help your body reduce inflammation.*

Nature’s Way Elderberries

Nature’s Way harvests a particular type of elderberry, the Haschberg variety, from the foothills of the Styrian region of Austria. These elderberries contain elevated levels of naturally-occurring anthocyanins, a key contributor to the health benefits associated with elderberries.

Nature’s Way sources only from elderberry trees that have been grown in nutrient-rich soil at the optimal altitude of 300-700 meters. Each and every elderberry tree is carefully tended by growers trained in traditional, time-honored methods. All elderberries are hand-picked for optimal ripeness and quality.

  • Made with a unique, full-spectrum black elderberry extract that is from a specific blend of black elderberries that are naturally richer in Flavonoid BioActives®
  • Tested for bioavailability and shown to be active in the body
  • Elderberries are hand-picked and frozen the same day to ensure freshness and potency

In 1968, Tom Murdock was desperately searching for a way to improve his wife’s failing health. They tried all the conventional options without any success. Finally, Tom turned to the traditional medicine of Native American’s and the healing power of plants.

His wife’s health improved and she lived another 25 years. Aside from this victory, Tom’s journey led to a massive herbal renaissance in the USA, and the founding of Nature’s Way. Tom Murdock began Nature’s Way with only 8 products. Now, 50 years later, Nature’s Way is considered one of the best supplement brands, with over 1,000 product offerings.

Their company continues to be rooted in traditional herbal medicine, while partnering with modern science in order to create the best quality products possible.
