Using essential oils known to effectively clean the hair and help to stop scalp itching, this powerful synergistic blend removes the problem at the source — but without using toxic chemicals.

This essential oil blend is part of the Kid Safe line from Plant Therapy. This is a one of kind product, formulated by Robert Tisserand, a world-renowned expert in essential oil safety. It’s created to be safe for kids ages 2-10 and is packed full of natural and gentle oils that still get the job done.
Plant Therapy Get ‘Em Gone KidSafe Essential Oil Contains:
- Palmarosa Essential Oil: Palmarosa helps to keep small cuts, bites, and scrapes clean and stimulates rapid healing.*
- Atlas Cedarwood Essential Oil: This essential oil offers an aroma that humans love, but insects hate. It increases circulation to the scalp and improves scalp health and healing.*
- Citronella Essential Oil: Citronella works to repel a whole host of undesirable insects. In this blend, this lemony, grassy essential oil helps to prevent recurrences of the itchy-outbreaks.*
- Tea Tree Essential Oil: This well-known essential oil is helpful for treating itchy scalp and ridding the hair of unwanted guests. It also helps to relieve dandruff!*
- Geranium Essential Oil: Bugs are banished by the herbal fragrance of geranium essential oil.*
- Sweet Marjoram Essential Oil: This essential oil is particularly effective at ridding the scalp of the itch-problem, right at its source.*
- Coriander Essential Oil: This plant oil soothes the scalp and improves skin health.*
Suggested Use: Add 7 drops of Get ‘Em Gone to one teaspoon of shampoo, and thoroughly massage into your child’s hair and scalp. Use a fine-toothed comb to spread the shampoo, let sit in hair for 15 minutes, then rinse and repeat if necessary. Alternatively, add 2% of Get ‘Em Gone and 1% Polysorbate or Solubol to 4 oz. of water, shake liberally to mix, then spray your child’s hair and scalp each morning. Don’t rinse, but let hair dry and keep the mixture on all day. This may also be used for prevention when children have friends or classmates with unusually itchy scalps.
Note: We recommend the use of an emulsifier, such as Polysorbate or Solubol, when blending any essential oils with water.
