Plant Therapy Organic Tangerine Essential Oil

The tangerine belongs to the mandarin orange family, a part of the larger and extended citrus family. Plant Therapy Organic Tangerine Essential Oil comes from the outer peel and offers a bright, sweet, citrus aroma that has been used throughout history in Chinese culture and herbal health practices — and for good reason!

It’s that cheering aroma that gives it its aromatherapeutic properties. Like other citrus essential oils, organic tangerine essential oil brightens a room (and a mood) as quickly as a burst of summer sunshine. It soothes agitated nerves, reduces tension, and balances mood by easing anxiety. These properties also make it a wonderful sleep aid for those with stress-related insomnia.

  • Botanical name: Citrus reticulata
  • Aromatic Scent: Fresh, sweet citrus with a delightful tang
  • Strength of Aroma: Medium
  • Plant Part: Fruit Peel
  • Kid Safe: Yes

Its ability to boost circulation supports the healing of damaged skin tissue. It can reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks and is also a great remedy for clearing up acne and blemishes, dandruff, and as an anti-fungal supportive treatment.*

As a topical, organic tangerine essential oil may also help to reduce muscle and nerve spasms. When applied topically to the abdomen, organic tangerine essential oil can soothe upset tummies. *

Around the home, tangerine essential oil can be mixed with vinegar or cleaning sprays for enhanced deep-cleaning of surfaces. Or, simply add it to a spray bottle with water and  a blend of other cheering oils for a beautiful room refresher.
