Roman soldiers would bathe in thyme before going to battle to increase courage and strength. In middle-ages of England, knights went to battle with sprigs of thyme embroidered on their scarves. Scotsmen preparing for battle would drink a tea of wild thyme.

In aromatherapy, organic Thyme essential oil provides a boost to the immune system and helps the whole family fight off seasonal illnesses when diffused in the home. If you’re already suffering from a cold, cough, or flu, inhaling organic thyme essential oil can help to clear up phlegm from the lungs and ease coughing spasms.
Experiencing a queasy tummy or bloating? Combine Organic Thyme Essential Oil with a carrier oil and massage into the abdomen for relief. Doing this can also help to stimulate the urination to reduce water retention and may help to reduce the pain associated with menstrual cramps.
Other topical uses include the treatment of acne and blemishes. Thyme Essential Oil promotes healing, which allows it to reduce the appearance of scars and acne spots. It will also stimulate quicker healing of minor burns and wounds while increasing circulation to the area.

Quick Recipe for Staying Healthy During Cold and Flu Season
During times of seasonal illness, Organic Thyme essential oil can be placed an aromatherapy diffuser (no more than 3 drops) along with Rosalina, Spruce, or Fir Needle to help ease congestion and promote better air quality.
Cautions: Possible skin irritant. Do not use undiluted on skin. Not child safe – keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, consult your physician before use. We do not recommend the ingestion of essential oils.
