Plant Therapy Rosehip Oil Extra Virgin

Rosehip Oil its an essential oil carrier oil that is well-known for its therapeutic skin care benefits. It’s been used in caring for the skin for quite literally thousands of years. There are records of the ancient Egyptians, Mayans, and Native Americans making use of rosehip as a form of healing oil.

Its widespread popularity is due to the fact that rosehip oil is derived from the fruit of the deciduous rose, which has many species and subspecies all across the globe.

  • Botanical Name: Rosa rubiginosa
  • Extraction Method: Cold Pressed from rosehip seeds
  • Aromatic Scent: Rosehip Oil has a distinctly earthy, nutty aroma
  • Consistency: Typical of many carrier oils

Plant Therapy Rosehip Oil Extra Virgin contains a balance of terpenes, fatty acids, and a variety of vitamins that make it uniquely suited to skincare applications. The oil is a valuable antioxidant and a good source of phytonutrients. “Extra Virgin” means that the oil is of the highest quality and is produced as a result a single, simple pressing.

Fatty acids in the rosehip oil help to balance and nourish the skin, while helping to reduce sebum production associated with acne. Rosehip carrier oil contains a high amount of vitamin E, vitamin A, and essential fatty acids, which promotes collagen and elastin levels to increase and assists in cell regeneration.*

These nutrients, combined with the antioxidants of linoleic acid, a primary component of rosehip oil, helps to fight off UV damage, free radical damage, and reduce signs of aging in the skin. It can also help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks for expecting mothers.*

Rosehip oil is particularly well-suited for dry, cracking, irritated skin. Use it for any area of skin that needs hydration and nourishment, from your hands and feet to chapped lips.*

Finally, rosehip oil has a unique ability to support healthy nail growth. The linoleic acid helps to strengthen brittle nails and improve the health of the nails in general.*

Suggested Use: Dilute to 5-10% in another carrier oil or use as an ingredient in aromatherapy projects. Use in topical applications, whether singly or paired with essential oils or other healing balms. It can be used as a full-body moisturizer, or as a valuable addition to facial care routines. Apply directed to areas of concern. Be careful during use – Rosehip Oil can stain fabrics.
