This licorice-like essential oil is created by steam distillation from the seeds of the fennel plant. It’s a key essential oil in aromatherapy as well as holistic medicinal practices. It peppers history, from mentions by Pliny the Elder, to Hippocrates, and was used in Roman, Chinese, and Hindu medicinal practices. In fact, it’s hard to find an herb that boasts a more illustrious history than fennel.

Suggested Use: Use in a diffuser, personal inhaler, or in topical applications. Fennel Sweet can be skin irritating, so always make sure you dilute to a maximum dilution of 2% before topical use.

During times of high stress, diffuse 2 drops of Fennel Sweet with 2 drops of Rosemary in your favorite aromatherapy diffuser, personal inhaler, or diffuser necklace to uplift and revitalize the mind.

Quick Essential Oil Recipe for Menstrual Pain

Mix 2 drops of Fennel Sweet with 2 drops Carrot Seed in 2 tablespoons of your favorite Plant Therapy carrier oil; massage on the abdomen to help relieve menstrual discomfort.

Cautions: Sweet Fennel Essential Oil is estrogenic and therefore should not be used during pregnancy or when breastfeeding. Do not use if you have endometriosis and estrogen-sensitive cancers. Sweet Fennel Essential Oil is not child safe. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use undiluted on the skin. We do not recommend taking essential oils internally.
