Moducare® combines an optimal ratio of sterols and sterolin to boost your immune system and promote heart health. Clinical studies suggest that sterols and sterolin are most supportive when formulated in a 100:1 ratio. This is why Thorne Research Moducare® includes 200 mcg sterolins and 20 mcg sterols.
Sterols are plant compounds that look and act an awful lot like cholesterol. They’re found in plant membranes and in foods like nuts, oils, and brans, but only in small quantities. Because sterols are so similar to cholesterol, they block real cholesterol from being absorbed — which is a good thing! This helps reduce your body’s blood cholesterol levels and support cardiovascular function.*
Sterolin is a transmitter protein. It helps transport and regulate sterols after you’ve consumed them. Combined with sterols in a supplement, this makes for an excellent delivery system and helps your body absorb the ideal amount.
