FAQs About Charlotte's Web Skin & Allergy Chews for Dogs
Q: Does this help with itchy skin and seasonal allergies in dogs? A: It’s commonly used to support dogs with seasonal skin sensitivities and occasional itching.* Each chew has nettle leaf 50 mg, burdock root 30 mg, marshmallow root 25 mg, and 5 mg of full spectrum hemp extract to support healthy skin moisture and normal skin comfort during seasonal changes.*
Q: How many chews should I give my dog per day? A: Go by your dog’s weight: under 25 lbs, up to 1/2 chew a day; 26 to 50 lbs, 1 chew; 51 to 75 lbs, 2 chews; 76 to 100 lbs, 3 chews; over 100 lbs, up to 4 chews a day.
Q: Why does this one use biotin? A: Biotin is in there for skin support.* Each chew has 0.3 mg. It can be a nice extra if your dog has dry skin or a rough coat.
Q: Should I give it with food or by itself? A: Either works. Since they’re chews, most dogs take them fine on their own, but a lot of dogs do better if you give them around mealtime. If your dog has a sensitive stomach, I’d give it with food first.
Q: My dog is on other meds. Is this okay to use? A: Maybe, but I’d check with your vet first. It has full spectrum hemp extract plus herbs like nettle and burdock, so I wouldn’t combine it with other meds without asking.
Q: Are there any side effects I should watch for? A: Yes. Some dogs can get diarrhea, especially if they’re sensitive or getting more than they should. If your dog’s skin gets worse or nothing seems to be improving, stop using it and call your vet.
Q: Can I use this for a pregnant dog or one I’m planning to breed? A: I’d skip it unless your vet tells you otherwise. Safe use in pregnant animals or breeding dogs hasn’t been established.
