Q: Does this one help with liver support, or is it more for digestion? A: Both. It's mainly for liver support, but the ox bile, choline, methionine, milk thistle, black radish, dandelion, and beet can also help with bile flow and fat digestion.
Q: How many capsules should I take per day? A: The usual dose is 1 or 2 capsules, three times a day with meals. I'd start lower, 1 capsule with meals, then move up if needed.
Q: Why does this have ox bile in it? A: It's there to support bile and help with fat absorption. If you tend to feel off after heavier meals, or you specifically want a formula with bile salts, that's usually why people pick this one.
Q: I've heard milk thistle is the main liver herb. How much is in here? A: Check the full Supplement Facts panel for the exact milligrams per serving. What I can see is that the milk thistle seed extract is standardized to 40% silymarin. So yes, milk thistle is in here, but this is more of a blend than a high-dose milk thistle product.
Q: Should I take this on an empty stomach or with food? A: With food. Since it's taken up to three times a day and includes ox bile, most people do better taking it with meals.
Q: My doctor said to be careful with methylated vitamins. Does this use methylfolate and methyl B12? A: Yes. It uses Quatrefolic for folate, which is 5-MTHF, and the B12 is methylcobalamin. The B6 is also the active form, pyridoxal-5'-phosphate.
Q: Is there anything I should be careful with before taking it? A: Yes. Don't use it if you're pregnant or nursing.
