Q: Does this give you actual DHA, or is it just flax oil? A: Yes, this gives you actual DHA. It uses DHA algal oil, and each tablespoon gives 130 mg DHA plus 1530 mg ALA from flaxseed oil.

Q: How much should I take per day? A: One tablespoon a day. You can take it straight or mix it into yogurt, oatmeal, or a smoothie. Keep it refrigerated after opening.

Q: I've heard vegan omegas don't always have GLA. Does this one? A: Yep. The borage oil gives you 400 mg of GLA per tablespoon, plus 1120 mg of linoleic acid, so this isn't just an omega-3 product.

Q: Should I take this with food? A: You can, but you don't have to. It's an emulsified liquid, so a lot of people find it easy to take right off the spoon. Mixing it into food is fine too.

Q: Why does it have sugar alcohol in it if the sugars are zero? A: Because it's sweetened with xylitol and glycerine instead of sugar. One tablespoon has 4 g sugar alcohol, so if you're really sensitive to sugar alcohols, I'd start with less.

Q: My doctor said to be careful with supplements if I'm on medication. Is this one okay? A: Use caution. If you're pregnant, nursing, taking medications, or have a health condition, I'd check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting this one.

Q: Is there anything I should know about the final sale part? A: Yeah. This one is close to its best by date, so it's marked final sale. I'd plan to open it soon and use it regularly once you get it, especially since it needs refrigeration after opening.
