Plant Therapy Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil
With such a refreshing, citrusy scent, it’s no surprise that lemongrass is a popular essential oil for aromatherapy. From helping to ease anxiety and headaches to relieving sore muscle and dandruff, Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil is an excellent tool to have in your home medicine kit!
In aromatherapy, lemongrass is used for its ability to calm the emotions and nervous system. It promotes a relaxation and unwinding of tense muscles and taut nerves. Thanks to this influence on the emotions and stress-response, lemongrass essential oil can also help to decrease heart rate, blood pressure, and pace of breathing (when related to stress and anxiety — this is not a treatment for actual cardiovascular conditions!)
If you’re feeling tense, anxious, or overwhelmed, diffusing some Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil is a great option to help you chill out and calm down. In fact, the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine published a study on the anti-anxiety properties of lemongrass essential oil. Inhaling organic lemongrass essential oil can also help to reduce minor headaches and indigestion.
Lemongrass essential oil is extremely popular in the beauty and cosmetics industry. In hair care, lemongrass helps to tone and nourish the scalp, significantly decreasing dandruff. In topical applications, lemongrass essential oil can help to keep the skin healthy and reduce the instances of acne. It can help to inhibit the growth of fungal infections, such as Athlete’s Foot, possibly thanks to its natural compounds of citral and limonene.
Another excellent topical use for Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil is as a muscle-soothing rub. Its warming nature boosts circulation and brings warmth to overused muscles and joints.

In proper dilution, it is wonderful for the aches and pains associated with aging.
