Plant Therapy Organic Rosemary 1,8-Cineol Essential Oil
Chances are, you’re already familiar with rosemary. Plant Therapy Organic Rosemary Essential Oil is extracted from the popular herb of the same name. Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is a common herb used in cooking, particularly in Mediterranean cuisine.
Rosemary has been extensively used since ancient times for a wide variety of medicinal and culinary purposes. Often, those purposes coincided! In the 16th, a renowned German-Swiss physician and botanist named Paracelsus elevated rosemary because of its great healing abilities. He stated that rosemary was able to strengthen the whole body, and aided in the healing of delicate organs including the liver, brain, and heart. Some 400+ years later, rosemary and rosemary essential oils are still used in many medicinal preparations — and of course, still heavily feature in our best-loved food dishes!
In aromatherapy, organic rosemary essential oil offers many helpful uses. It’s stimulating aroma helps jumpstart mental activity and retention, making it a perfect essential oil to diffuse when prepping for a big test or career opportunity.
This zesty, herbal essential oil also helps to relieve low spirits, mental fatigue, and forgetfulness. Some researchers are beginning to explore whether organic rosemary essential oil could be used as alternative support in treating Alzheimer’s disease.
In hair and skincare, organic rosemary essential oil holds a primary place. It can help to reduce hair loss and encourage hair growth. By stimulating hair follicles, organic rosemary essential oil helps to make hair grow longer and stronger, while also slowing premature hair loss and graying. Rosemary essential oil also helps nourish the dry and flaky scalps, diminishing dandruff.
In skincare, organic rosemary essential oil helps to improve skin hydration and elasticity. It can also help support your body in the effort to eliminate eczema, dermatitis, oily skin, and acne.
When used as a massage oil, rosemary essential oil helps to stimulate blood circulation and relieve muscle pain. It has a warming effect that brings welcome relief to aching muscles and joints. For those that struggle with feeling cold, even in warm weather, add a few drops of rosemary essential oil into a carrier oil and rub into your chilly limbs to warm yourself up and improve local blood circulation.
Around the home, organic rosemary essential oil will do wonders in eliminating odors. Use it to freshen up smelly or stale-smelling rooms. Diffusing this oil will also give your immune system a jumpstart and support your respiratory system when you’re fighting off allergies, colds, and flu.
