FAQs About Country Life Coenzyme B-Complex
Q: Does this B-complex help with energy? A: Yes. B vitamins help your body turn food into energy. This one gives 50 mg of B1, 50 mg of B2, 50 mg of B6, and 500 mcg of B12 per 2-capsule serving.
Q: Why does this one say coenzyme B-complex? A: It means some of the vitamins are in their active forms, not just the basic ones. B2 is riboflavin 5' phosphate. B6 is pyridoxal 5' phosphate. B12 is methylcobalamin and dibencozide. Folate is methylfolate.
Q: Should I take one capsule or two? A: I'd start with one. The suggested use is 1 to 2 capsules daily, preferably before or between meals, and a lot of people do fine on one.
Q: Does it cause flushing from the niacin? A: Usually less than regular niacin. This one uses 100 mg of inositol hexaniacinate, which is often called a no-flush form, but if you're sensitive you could still feel a little warmth sometimes.
Q: I've heard B vitamins can make urine bright yellow. Is that normal? A: Yep. That's very common with riboflavin, and this one has 50 mg of B2 per serving, so bright yellow urine is not unusual.
Q: My doctor said to be careful with methylfolate and methyl B12. Is this one high in those? A: Yeah, it uses those forms. A full serving gives 667 mcg DFE of folate from L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate and 500 mcg of B12 from methylcobalamin plus dibencozide. If you're sensitive, I'd start low and check with your doctor.
Q: Can I take this if I'm pregnant, nursing, or on medication? A: I'd check first. If you're pregnant or nursing, talk to your OB or midwife before starting it. If you take medications or have a medical condition, check with your doctor or pharmacist.
