FAQs About Natural Factors Complete Omega Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil 1300mg
Q: Does this give you just omega-3s, or more than that? A: More than just omega-3s. Each softgel has 1300 mg of wild Alaskan salmon oil with 263 mg total omega-3s, plus omega-6s, omega-5, 7 and 8, and omega-9 and 11 fatty acids.
Q: How much EPA and DHA are in one softgel? A: One softgel has 107 mg EPA and 93 mg DHA. So 200 mg combined of the two main marine omega-3s, plus another 63 mg of other omega-3s.
Q: Should I take this with food? A: Yeah, take it with a meal. Suggested use is 1 Enteripure softgel 1 to 2 times a day, and fish oil is usually easier on the stomach with food.
Q: I've heard fish oil can repeat on you. Does this one cause fishy burps? A: Usually less than regular fish oil. The Enteripure softgel is made to release in the small intestine, so people often notice less fishy aftertaste.
Q: Why does this have vitamin D3 and astaxanthin in it? A: They’re naturally present in the salmon oil. Each softgel has 1.6 mcg, or 66.7 IU, of vitamin D3 and 26.7 mcg of astaxanthin, so I wouldn’t count on this as your main vitamin D supplement.
Q: My doctor said to be careful with supplements. Are there any concerns with this one? A: Yes, a couple. Check with your doctor or pharmacist first if you take any medications, especially blood thinners, or if you're pregnant or nursing.
Q: Is this vegetarian or vegan? A: No. The softgel uses gelatin, so it’s not vegetarian or vegan.
