FAQs About Plant Therapy Organic Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Q: Does this smell like regular eucalyptus? A: Not quite. Lemon eucalyptus still has that eucalyptus smell, but it's softer and a little more citrusy than the sharper, medicinal scent most people expect.
Q: How do I use this for skin or bug bites? A: Dilute it first. For skin, mix it to about a 2 to 4% dilution in a carrier oil or unscented lotion. Don't put the pure oil straight on.
Q: Should I diffuse it or put it on my skin? A: Either works, you just need to use it properly. A lot of people diffuse it for the fresh scent and respiratory support. If you're putting it on skin, dilute it first.
Q: I've heard lemon eucalyptus helps keep bugs away. Is that true? A: Yes, that's a common use. I usually tell people to mix a few drops into a carrier oil or unscented lotion for outdoor use, instead of putting it straight on the skin.
Q: Can I take this essential oil internally? A: No. I’d keep this one for external use only, and I wouldn’t ingest essential oils.
Q: Is there anything I should be careful about with this oil? A: Yes. Keep it out of reach of kids, and if you're pregnant, talk to your doctor before using it. Since it's a concentrated essential oil, don't apply it undiluted.
