What "allergen free" means here
Integrative Therapeutics make two versions. The standard Cortisol Manager contains soy phosphatidylserine. This one leaves that out, which is the entire difference, and it exists for people who avoid soy.
If you landed here searching for plain Cortisol Manager, this is the soy-free version of the same product. Both are on our shelves.
The ashwagandha and L-theanine question
The formula pairs ashwagandha with L-theanine plus a few other botanicals. Ashwagandha is the ingredient most people are actually buying, and it's worth knowing it takes time. Studies on it generally run four to twelve weeks, so a bottle taken over a week isn't a fair test.
Taking it at night
This is designed for bedtime, which trips people up. If you expect something to take during a stressful workday, that isn't this. Take it in the evening.
Before you start
Ashwagandha is in the nightshade family. It isn't suitable during pregnancy, and if you have a thyroid condition or take thyroid medication it's worth a conversation with your doctor first, since ashwagandha can affect thyroid hormone levels.
At $70 this is one of the pricier things on the shelf. If you're new to ashwagandha, a single-ingredient product is a cheaper way to find out whether it suits you before committing to a formula.
