FAQs About Country Life Bone Solid®
Q: Why does this one have so much vitamin K in it? A: Because it uses both K1 and K2, and a full serving gives you 1,010 mcg. That's fine for a lot of people. But if you're on warfarin or another blood thinner, check with your doctor or pharmacist before you start it.
Q: My doctor said I need more calcium. Is this enough? A: For a full daily serving, yeah, it's a lot. Six capsules give you 1,011 mg of calcium, plus 25 mcg of vitamin D3 and 500 mg of magnesium, so you're not just getting calcium by itself.
Q: What's the best way to take it without upsetting my stomach? A: Take three capsules twice a day with food. I'd do breakfast and dinner instead of taking all six at once.
Q: I noticed MCHA on here. What is that? A: MCHA stands for microcrystalline hydroxyapatite. Here, you get 4,170 mg per full serving. It's a bone-derived source of calcium and phosphorus.
Q: Any reason someone shouldn't use this? A: A few people should be careful. If you're pregnant, nursing, taking medications, planning surgery, or using anti-coagulants or other blood thinners, talk with your doctor before you start it.
Q: The serving size seems high. Do I really need all 6 capsules? A: If you want the amounts listed in the Supplement Facts, yes, those amounts are based on all 6 capsules. Half that would give you about half the calcium, magnesium, vitamin D3, and vitamin K.
