Q: Does this need to be refrigerated? A: No. It's shelf-stable, and the acid-resistant DRcaps help protect the probiotics as they pass through the stomach.

Q: How many capsules should I take per day? A: The usual dose is 1 capsule a day. If you want to take more, the brand says you can do 1 capsule twice a day.

Q: Why does this one say 50 billion? A: Because each capsule has 50 billion CFU total: 28.5 billion from the Bifido blend, 18.5 billion from the Lacto blend, and 3 billion from Saccharomyces boulardii.

Q: I've heard that Saccharomyces boulardii is different from regular probiotics. Is that true? A: Yes. S. boulardii is a beneficial yeast, not a bacteria strain, and this one gives you 3 billion CFU of it along with the Lactobacillus and Bifido strains.

Q: Should I take this with food or on an empty stomach? A: Either is fine, but if your stomach is sensitive, I'd take it with food. Since it uses acid-resistant capsules, most people do fine either way.

Q: My doctor said to watch allergens. Is there anything in here I should know about? A: Yes. This one contains tree nut because of the horse chestnut, so I'd avoid it if you have a tree nut allergy unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
