FAQs About Gaia Herbs Turmeric Supreme® Pain Capsules
Q: Does this help with joint pain or headaches? A: A lot of people pick it for joint comfort, muscle comfort, and everyday wellness.* It has turmeric, rosemary, devil’s claw, feverfew, ginger, and a few other herbs people often use for joint comfort, post-exercise recovery, and everyday head and body comfort.*
Q: How many capsules should I take per day? A: Take 2 capsules with meals, up to 3 times a day. I’d start with 2 capsules once or twice a day first, then go up if you feel like you need more.
Q: Why does this have black pepper in it? A: It has 10 mg of black pepper to help with absorption, especially with the turmeric and its 30 mg of curcuminoids. That’s a pretty common combo in turmeric supplements.
Q: I've heard turmeric can bother some people. Should I take this with food? A: Yes, take it with meals. With the turmeric, ginger, black pepper, and the stronger herbs in the 875 mg blend, it’ll usually sit better with food.
Q: Does it interact with any medications? A: It can. I’d be extra careful if you take blood thinners, NSAIDs, or anything for stomach irritation. Feverfew can be an issue too, so if you’re on medication, check with your pharmacist first.
Q: Is this okay during pregnancy or while nursing? A: No, I’d skip it. Talk to your OB or midwife before starting it, since the brand says not to use it during pregnancy or while nursing.
Q: Is this vegan? A: Yes. The capsules are hypromellose, and the other non-herbal ingredients are vegetable glycerin, water, sunflower lecithin, and chlorophyll.
