Bluebonnet Cellular Active® COQ10 Ubiquinol

Bluebonnet’s CellularActive® CoQ10 Ubiquinol Vegetarian Softgels contains the “active” Antioxidants form of CoQ10 (ubiquinol) rather than the popular, oxidized form (ubiquinone). Ubiquinol is already in the form best absorbed by the body, which makes it more effective as a supplement. Most other Coq10 Ubiquinol supplements use ubiquinone, which must be converted into ubiquinol in order for the body to use it.

As we age, our CoQ10 levels naturally lower, and our bodies’ ability to convert ubiquinol drops. Ubiquinol helps support healthy cardiovascular function and the body’s antioxidant defenses.*

The CoQ10 supplement helps support cellular energy production, antioxidant activity, and healthy heart function.* Because oxidative stress can affect muscle function, the supplement may help support exercise performance and muscle function.*

  • Supports Heart Health:* Helps with antioxidant protection*

  • Enhances Athletic Performance:* Supports muscle function and exercise performance*

  • Helps Support Cognitive Processes:* Promotes cognitive function and mitochondrial health*

  • May Reduce Headache:* May help support neurological health and overall wellness*

Bluebonnet Cellular Active® COQ10 Ubiquinol may help support healthy brain function.* Mitochondrial function naturally changes as we age and may affect cognitive performance.* Unfortunately, the brain is especially sensitive to oxidative stress that can affect memory and cognition. CoQ10 Ubiquinol supplements help support antioxidant activity, healthy cognitive function, and mental performance.* Mitochondrial support may also help support neurological wellness.*

FAQs About Bluebonnet Cellular Active® COQ10 Ubiquinol

Q: Does this use ubiquinol or regular CoQ10? A: It uses ubiquinol, the active form of CoQ10. A lot of people look for that version because it may be easier to absorb than regular ubiquinone.

Q: Should I take this with food or on an empty stomach? A: Take one softgel a day with a meal. CoQ10 is fat-soluble, so taking it with food usually makes more sense than taking it on an empty stomach.

Q: My doctor said to look for Kaneka ubiquinol. Is that what's in this one? A: Yes, this one uses Kaneka ubiquinol. That's the form a lot of people specifically look for when they want ubiquinol.

Q: Why does this have MCT oil and sunflower lecithin in it? A: They're there to carry the ubiquinol in the softgel. Since CoQ10 is fat-soluble, ingredients like MCT oil and sunflower lecithin are pretty common in formulas like this.

Q: Does this help with heart health or headaches? A: A lot of people choose it for cardiovascular support and antioxidant support.* Some people also choose CoQ10 as part of their general wellness routine.

Q: Are there any medication concerns with this one? A: Yes, be careful if you're on prescription meds, especially blood thinners. I'd check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting it if you take anything regularly.

Q: Which strength should I start with, 50 mg or 100 mg? A: 50 mg once a day is a reasonable place to start for a lot of people. If you're looking for a higher-potency option for general wellness support, 100 mg is also common,* but I'd still stick with one softgel a day unless your provider told you otherwise.
