Q: Does this need to be diluted before I put it on my skin? A: Yes. Don’t put it straight on skin. For this blend, I’d use 1 drop in 1 tablespoon of carrier oil for feet. For general topical use, keep it in the 0.5% to 2% dilution range.
Q: How would you use this during times of seasonal wellness concerns? A: I’d either diffuse it for 30 minutes at a time or dilute it and rub it on the bottoms of your feet. A lot of people use it at bedtime and again in the morning before getting dressed.
Q: Why does this one smell so warm and spicy? A: Because it’s got clove bud and cinnamon cassia in it. The lemon brightens it a little, and the eucalyptus globulus and rosemary 1,8 cineole give it that sharper, almost medicinal edge.
Q: I've heard cinnamon oils can irritate skin. Is that true with this blend? A: Yes, they can. This blend has cinnamon cassia bark oil and clove bud oil, so I’d be extra careful with dilution and keep it away from sensitive areas.
Q: Should I use this around my little kids? A: Not if they’re under the age listed in the caution. I’d be careful with this one because the bottle says this blend isn’t child-safe for younger kids. If you’re using it in a diffuser, keep that in mind.
Q: What oils are actually in Germ Fighter? A: This one has five organic essential oils: lemon peel, clove bud, eucalyptus globulus leaf, cinnamon cassia bark, and rosemary leaf/stem. They’re all USDA Certified Organic and undiluted essential oils.
