FAQs About Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream

Q: Does this work more for dryness or for brightening? A: Both, but it leans more toward overnight moisture, with brightening built in. It uses three forms of vitamin C, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, and ascorbyl glucoside, plus sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid, shea butter, and vegan squalane for hydration.

Q: Should I use this every night? A: Yes, nightly is usually fine. Apply it to clean skin. If your skin is sensitive, I'd start every other night for the first week.

Q: I've heard vitamin C can sting. Is this one harsh? A: Usually not, especially compared with some vitamin C serums. Since it's a cream, it feels a little more buffered, and it also has calming ingredients like calendula, allantoin, reishi, and chaga. If your skin is very reactive, you still might feel a little tingling.

Q: Can I layer it with other Mad Hippie serums? A: Yes. I'd put this on after the Vitamin C Serum, Super A Serum, or AHA Exfoliating Peel, then use the Antioxidant Facial Oil after if you want more moisture.

Q: Why does this use three kinds of vitamin C instead of one? A: To do a few different jobs. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is oil-soluble, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate is a gentler water-soluble form, and ascorbyl glucoside is another stable form people use for brightening and uneven-looking skin tone.

Q: My skin breaks out easily. Is this too rich for acne-prone skin? A: Maybe. It really depends on what your skin reacts to. There's safflower seed oil, shea butter, isopropyl palmitate, and glyceryl stearate in here, so if you're very clog-prone, I'd patch test first instead of putting it all over right away.

Q: Is there anything I should be careful with before using it? A: Yes. If you're pregnant, nursing, taking medications, or dealing with a skin condition, check with your OB, midwife, doctor, or dermatologist before using it. Keep it away from kids.
