Qēt Botanicals Balancing Clay Exfoliant with Tea & Thyme

When it comes to healthy and vibrant skin, a gentle exfoliant is just as important as a good cleanser. Natural, unscented, and free from artificial emulsifiers or preservatives, this balancing clay exfoliant features Matcha green tea. This antioxidant is widely used in Qēt’s skin and face treatments because of its ability to nourish and brighten the skin.*

Let’s take a peek inside the skin-loving botanical benefits found within this deeply effective clay exfoliant:

  • Lavender: Soothes and calms the skin while helping it feel balanced.*

  • Lemon: Helps defend against free radicals and promotes healthy-looking skin.*

  • Thyme: Helps cleanse the skin and support a balanced-looking complexion.*

  • Oat kernel: Helps soothe skin and provides natural moisturization.*

  • Organic Sugar: Helps smooth the look of uneven skin tone and promotes a clear-looking complexion.*

  • Matcha green tea: Strong antioxidant used to cleanse away buildup and various impurities.*

  • Moroccan (Rhassoul) clay: Helps refresh the skin, absorb excess oil and buildup, and promote supple-looking skin.*

What happens when Moroccan lava clay is blended with botanicals like thyme and green tea? You get a magical concoction that brushes away the top layer of dead skin cells, leaving healthy, glowing-looking skin behind!

This splendid clay exfoliant helps soothe the skin, cleanse away buildup, and support a refreshed-looking complexion.* A gentle cleanser, it will not irritate and it’s an especially great choice for those with dry or sensitive skin. Through daily use, you’ll find your skin looking more clear and bright, as old cells are removed to reveal fresh, healthy-looking skin.*

Qēt offers two exfoliating options for each of their Skin Suites. The Balancing Clay Exfoliant with Tea & Thyme is a deeply-absorbing exfoliant which may be rotated with a lighter, softer herbal exfoliant as needed.

How to Choose Your Exfoliant — Herbal or Clay? Qēt offers two exfoliating options – herbal and clay-based. Let’s help you choose which type of exfoliant is right for you:

  • How they’re the same: Both exfoliants offer your skin a revitalizing cleanse. Both blends are gentle on your face, using natural ingredients that encourage a vibrant, clear-looking complexion.* Both types soften, soothe, and hydrate.*

  • How the herbal and clay exfoliants are different: Clay exfoliants are made with a mineral clay that mimics a sponge, helping lift away buildup and impurities that can get trapped deep within the pores.* Herbal exfoliants are fine-tuned with botanical powders and are ideal for a lighter, surface cleanse.

  • How to choose: If you want to remove deep-down buildup or leftover residue, the clay exfoliant is going to be your best friend. For a more tender cleansing that is surface-focused, herbal exfoliants are wonderful.

Either type of exfoliant you use is bound to reveal a more vital-looking complexion.* For best results, alternate between each unique blend according to your present skin condition!

Suggested Use:

  • Step 1. Prepare your face with your favorite cleansing oil.

  • Step 2. Add a small amount of exfoliant to the palm of your hand or a bowl. Add a little cleansing oil to create a paste that you’ll gently massage over your face, neck, and chest with small, circular motions. No need to scrub— just let the herbs work their magic! Be extra gentle on and near any sore, open blemishes until they’ve healed.

  • Step 3. Press a warm, wet washcloth onto your skin so that your pores open up, absorbing the beneficial botanical elements of the clay exfoliant. Take this time to breathe and relax. Thyme is on your side!

  • Step 4. Gently wipe away, or allow the clay exfoliant to stay on your skin for up to three minutes. Doing so will only add more benefit from the botanicals and herbs.

Clay or mineral exfoliants work best with daily use, and once a day is plenty to give your skin the lift it needs. This is an exceptionally nice step to add to your nightly care routine – refreshing and restorative! Follow up with toning, preparing, and hydrating your skin for optimal results.

FAQs About Qēt Botanicals Balancing Clay Exfoliant with Tea & Thyme

Q: How do you use this exfoliant without over-scrubbing your skin? A: Mix a small amount with a little cleansing oil to make a paste, then gently massage it over damp skin. No need to scrub hard — the rhassoul clay, oat flour, and herbs already do the work.

Q: Does this work for sensitive skin? A: Usually, yes. The oat flour and clay make it gentler than a lot of gritty scrubs, but if your skin is very reactive, I’d patch test first since it also has thyme, lavender, and lemon oil.

Q: Why does this one use rhassoul clay? A: Rhassoul clay helps soak up extra oil and lift some of the grime off your skin. That’s why people tend to reach for it when skin feels congested or the T-zone gets extra shiny.

Q: I’ve heard clay masks can be drying. Is this one drying too? A: Usually not. You mix this one with a cleansing oil, and the oat flour helps keep it from feeling too harsh, so it’s less drying than a basic clay mask.

Q: Should I use it on active breakouts? A: If your skin is feeling congested or uneven, go gently. I’d avoid scrubbing over sore or open spots and just lightly work around those areas until they’ve calmed down.

Q: Does it have any ingredients I should watch out for? A: Yes. If essential oils usually bother your skin, check the lemon fruit oil, thyme, and lavender. It also has gluten-free oat flour and cane sugar, which most people do fine with on skin, but patch testing is still a smart call if you react easily.
