Plant Therapy Camphor Essential Oil
Camphor Essential Oil has a rich history in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. For centuries, the bark and leaves of this tree have been harvested for use in the construction of ships and temples, in the healing practices for relieving various illnesses, and even as a disinfectant ingredient during the time of the plague.
While, thankfully, we don’t have to deal with the plague these days, we do face seasonal colds and flu, aches and pains related to normal aging, and various skin issues. Camphor Essential oil can offer support for all of this — and more.*
Camphor Essential Oil’s distinctive and penetrating scent offers, perhaps unsurprisingly, relief for congestion and irritation in the respiratory system. It helps to clear the lungs and even supports recovery from illness such as bronchitis and pneumonia. It also boosts circulation and immune function — so if you’re fighting off a seasonal cold or allergies, look no further than Camphor Essential Oil.*
In aromatherapy, Camphor Essential Oil can also be used to calm nerves and stimulate your metabolism. Some say that its relaxing and refreshing scent stimulates and boosts the libido.*
In topical applications, camphor is incredibly diverse. Its cooling effects offers relief for inflammation and redness, insect bites, itchy and irritated skin, rashes, and more. It also helps to ease discomfort related to muscle aches, sprains, and strained muscles.*
Camphor Essential Oil has also been used to stimulate circulation to support arthritic and rheumatic conditions, promotes hair growth, and helps to reduce instances of cramping.*
