- For a natural spray deodorant, mix 1 oz Aloe Vera gel with 3 oz Witch Hazel distillate, and 2 ml of Deodorizing Synergy in a clean spray bottle.
- It is important to dilute well as the armpit can be a very sensitive area, especially after being shaved.
- For a spray to help eliminate funky odors in a locker room, gym bag or inside your shoes, mix 1 part Deodorizing Synergy to 100 parts witch hazel.
- Be aware that this blend can stain clothing, so test in a small inconspicuous area first. For topical use, dilute to 2%. For children ages 2 through 10, dilute to 1-2%.
*Use the spray recipes within 1-2 weeks and store in the fridge.

FAQs About Plant Therapy Deodorizing Synergy Blend
Q: Does this work as a natural deodorant for underarms? A: Yes, if you dilute it first. This blend has palmarosa, tea tree, lemon, grapefruit, bergamot, patchouli, coriander, and cypress oils. The brand says to mix 2 mL into 1 oz aloe vera gel plus 3 oz witch hazel for a spray.
Q: How should I use it for shoes or gym bags? A: Mix it with witch hazel and spray it on. The suggested ratio is 1 part Deodorizing Synergy to 100 parts witch hazel for shoes, gym bags, locker rooms, or musty clothing.
Q: Can I put this straight on my skin? A: No. It’s a pure essential oil blend, and underarms can get irritated fast, especially after shaving, so dilute it before putting it on skin.
Q: Why does this blend smell like it actually covers odor well? A: Because it’s not just one flat scent. Tea tree and palmarosa come off fresh and clean, and patchouli, cypress, and coriander give it a deeper smell that tends to stick around longer.
Q: I've heard citrus oils can make skin sun-sensitive. Does that apply here? A: Yes. It has lemon, pink grapefruit, and bergamot peel oils, so if you’re spraying it on skin, don’t use it right before sun exposure.
Q: Is it safe for kids? A: Plant Therapy sells it as a kid-safe blend, but I’d still dilute it and keep it away from eyes, face, and broken skin. For really young kids or anyone with very sensitive skin, patch test first.
Q: Should I worry about it staining clothes? A: Yeah, maybe. The brand says it can stain fabric, so test a small hidden spot before you spray it on clothing or inside shoes.
