It is 100% pure and organic, with no fillers or additives.

  • Aromatic Scent: A very herbaceous scent with soft woody undertones

  • Strength of Aroma: Strong

  • Country of Origin: China, India

  • Extraction Method: Steam Distilled

  • Plant Part: Leaves

  • KidSafe: No.

Eucalyptus Globulus, or eucalyptus essential oil, is one of the most widely loved essential oils available. It’s traditionally used to support respiratory health and promote a clear, refreshing breathing experience.* For respiratory support, it’s best used in a diffuser or diluted to 3-5% and applied to the chest. Plant Therapy’s organic eucalyptus essential oil is also often used for muscle and joint comfort after occasional overuse.* So, if you’re feeling it after a hardcore workout at the gym, apply a diluted eucalyptus essential oil to those areas for a soothing experience. This can also be helpful for joint comfort associated with normal aging.* For adults, dilute 2-5% for topical applications. Eucalyptus essential oil may also be used to promote a positive mood and mental focus.* Simply diffuse some into the air for a burst of positivity and clarity. We recommend blending with 2-3 drops each of Eucalyptus, Rosemary, and Lemon essential oils to a personal inhaler as a perfect afternoon ‘pick-me-up’. Organic Eucalyptus Essential Oil Blends Well With:

  • Basil Linalool

  • Cajeput

  • Cedarwood Atlas

  • Citronella

  • Frankincense Serrata

  • Ginger Root CO2

  • Lavender

  • Lemon

  • Spearmint

  • Tea Tree

Suggested Use: Diffuse Eucalyptus Globulus and Frankincense into the air for a refreshing, invigorating aroma that supports a clear-breathing experience.* Adding a couple of drops of Eucalyptus to an inhaler blend of Rosemary and Lemon essential oils may help with an afternoon “pick-me-up.”*

FAQs About Plant Therapy Organic Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil

Q: Does this help with stuffy breathing or sinus congestion? A: Yes, a lot of people diffuse it for that. This is organic Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, and people often use it in the air when they want that open, cooling feel for easier breathing.

Q: Should I put this straight on my skin for sore muscles? A: No, I'd dilute it first. Eucalyptus can irritate skin if you use it undiluted, so mix a couple of drops into a carrier oil before putting it on muscles or joints.

Q: Why does eucalyptus feel so strong when I smell it? A: Because it has that sharp, camphor-like smell. Eucalyptus globulus is naturally pretty brisk, which is why people reach for it when they want something that feels clearing and energizing.

Q: How do I use this during the day if I want a more focused, awake feeling? A: I'd diffuse a few drops or put a couple into an inhaler blend. A lot of people like mixing eucalyptus with rosemary and lemon in the afternoon when they're dragging.

Q: I've heard eucalyptus isn't safe around little kids. Is that true? A: Yes, use extra caution. Don't apply it to, or use it near, the faces of infants and young children, and keep the bottle well out of reach.

Q: My doctor said to be careful with essential oils while pregnant. Can I still use this one? A: Maybe, but I'd check first. If you're pregnant or under a doctor's care, talk to your OB, midwife, or physician before starting this one.

Q: Can I take this by mouth? A: I wouldn't. Plant Therapy does not recommend ingesting this oil, so I'd stick to diffusing it or using it diluted on the skin.
