Thorne Research B Complex #6
If you need a boost of B vitamins and want a clean, high-quality supplement, Thorne Research B Complex #6 is the best vitamin B supplement for you! Why? This comprehensive formula includes the spectrum of B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12), plus it’s NSF Certified for Sport® (which means it’s free from more than 200 substances banned from most athletic organizations).
Thorne Research B Complex #6 looks fabulous on paper, but what can it do for you? From your brain and nerves to your mood and stress levels, check out how this vitamin B supplement supports overall wellness!*
Stress: Stress fatigues your body from the inside out. Vitamin B6 is essential for the synthesis of neurotransmitters, which help maintain a healthy stress response.*
Mood: Sunny days are just around the corner, thanks to a vitamin B supplement that helps support a balanced mood, like Thorne Research B Complex #6!*
Brain: Vitamin B6 should be another name for “brain food” since it helps support brain and nerve health!*
Nutrition: All B vitamins help your body better absorb nutrients from food and then convert them into energy.*
Oxidative stress: Did you know that vitamin B2 is an antioxidant? It provides antioxidant support and helps support the body's healthy response to oxidative stress.*
PMS: Helps support comfort and well-being during the menstrual cycle.*
Of all of the B vitamins, our body can only store vitamin B12. That means we must obtain sufficient amounts of the remaining B vitamins through our diet (which is hard to do!), or a comprehensive vitamin B supplement like Thorne Research B Complex #6. In particular, this multi-B supplement contains two types of vitamin B6 — pyridoxine and active pyridoxal 5'-phosphate — to better support neurological functioning and the metabolism of amino acids and fatty acids.*
Features bioavailable forms of key B vitamins, including pyridoxal 5'-phosphate and methylcobalamin.*

Cautions: Keep out of the reach of children. Consult a physician before taking this product if you are pregnant, nursing, taking any medications, or have a medical condition. 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) supplementation is not recommended concurrent with methotrexate cancer therapy, as it can interfere with methotrexate's anti-neoplastic activity; however, this folate source has not been shown to interfere with the anti-inflammatory activity of methotrexate. An individual taking methotrexate for psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis can safely take a supplement containing folate. Doses of vitamin B6 above 200 mg may inhibit breast milk production.
Allergy Warning: This product is contraindicated in an individual with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.

FAQs About Thorne Research B Complex #6 Capsules
Q: Why does this one have so much vitamin B6? A: It's basically a high-B6 formula. You get 100 mg total from two forms, pyridoxine HCl and pyridoxal 5'-phosphate, so people usually pick it when they want extra B6, not just a regular B-complex.
Q: Should I take it with food or on an empty stomach? A: I'd take 1 capsule with food. B vitamins can be a little rough on an empty stomach for some people, and taking it earlier in the day usually works better than taking it at bedtime.
Q: Does this use the active forms of folate and B12? A: Yes. It uses L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate for folate and methylcobalamin for B12, so it's a fit for people who want methylated forms instead of folic acid and cyanocobalamin.
Q: I've heard B vitamins can make your urine bright yellow. Will this one do that? A: Yes, probably. With 30 mg of riboflavin, bright yellow urine is very common and usually not a problem.
Q: My doctor said to be careful with folate. Is there anything here I should know? A: Yes. This has 334 mcg DFE of folate as L-5-MTHF. If you're on methotrexate for cancer treatment, check with your doctor first, since methylfolate may interfere with how that treatment works.
Q: Does it have all 8 B vitamins or just B6? A: It has all 8. Along with the 100 mg of B6, you get thiamin at 40 mg, riboflavin at 30 mg, niacinamide at 80 mg, folate, methylcobalamin B12 at 100 mcg, biotin at 80 mcg, and pantothenic acid at 45 mg.
Q: Is there anyone who shouldn't just start taking this on their own? A: Yes. If you're pregnant, nursing, taking meds, or have a medical condition, talk to your doctor before starting it. I'd also be extra careful with long-term high-dose B6 unless your practitioner specifically wants you on it.
