Q: Does this men's multi have iron in it? A: No, this men's formula does not list iron. A lot of men's multis leave iron out unless there's a specific reason someone needs it.
Q: How do I take it? A: Take one tablet a day with food. I'd take it with breakfast or lunch so the B vitamins are easier on your stomach.
Q: Why does this one use different forms of B vitamins? A: It uses a mix of regular and coenzymated B vitamins. So instead of just the basic forms across the board, you’ll see riboflavin 5'-phosphate for B2, pyridoxal 5'-phosphate for B6, methylcobalamin plus cyanocobalamin for B12, and 5-MTHF for folate. Some people specifically look for those forms.
Q: I've heard multis can upset your stomach. Is this one pretty gentle? A: Usually, yeah, if you take it with food. The vitamin C in this one is partly calcium ascorbate, which is often a little easier on the stomach than plain ascorbic acid. That said, any multi can feel rough if you take it on an empty stomach.
Q: My doctor said to be careful with blood thinners. Can I take this? A: Use caution. This one has vitamin K1, and the bottle says to check with your doctor if you take anti-coagulants or blood thinners, since vitamin K can affect how those meds work.
Q: Does it use methylfolate or folic acid? A: Methylfolate. This one uses 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, listed as (6S)-5-MTHF glucosamine salt, which is the active form a lot of people look for.
Q: Should I take this at night or in the morning? A: Morning is usually better. With the B vitamins and the men’s health blend, most guys do better taking it earlier in the day with a meal.
