Country Life Vitamin D3 1000 IU

Have low vitamin D levels from limited sun exposure? Country Life Vitamin D3 helps support healthy vitamin D levels, along with healthy skeletal, neurological, and immune system function too!* It’s common to spend most of our time indoors, especially while working. Yet the best way to absorb vitamin D is from the sunshine. (That’s why it’s called the “sunshine vitamin!”)

Taking a vitamin D supplement may help make up for those lost hours in the sun and promotes overall wellness and energy metabolism.* And if you live in the northern states, have a darker skin tone, or wear proper sun protection (good job!), it’s even more difficult for your body to gain the required levels of vitamin D.

Country Life Vitamin D3 can help your body get this essential vitamin — no matter how much the sun shines where you live, or how easily your skin absorbs sun rays.* Did you know that the sunshine vitamin plays a role in nearly every body system?

  • Immune system: Low levels of vitamin D are associated with more frequent sick days, and adequate vitamin D levels help support healthy immune function.*

  • Skeletal system: Vitamin D3 helps your body fully absorb and utilize calcium, which promotes strong, dense bones — including your teeth!*

  • Neurological system: Looking for a pick-me-up? Vitamin D helps with cognitive health, emotional balance, and a balanced mood.* Taking vitamin D may also be helpful for emotional well-being.*

  • Digestive system: Vitamin D plays a role in helping your body properly absorb other vitamins and minerals.*

  • Circulatory system: Vitamin D3 is good for cardiovascular health and helps maintain blood pressure already within the normal range.*

  • Nervous system: Adequate amounts of vitamin D help support healthy nerve function.*

Did you know? Country Life Vitamin D3 is sourced from lanolin, a waxy substance found on sheep’s wool. This makes the animal’s thick coat water-resistant, and includes a substantial amount of vitamin D3.

FAQs About Country Life Vitamin D3

Q: Does this come in different strengths? A: Yes. It comes in 1,000 IU, 2,500 IU, and 5,000 IU, which equals 25 mcg, 62.5 mcg, and 125 mcg of vitamin D3 per softgel.

Q: Should I take this with food or on an empty stomach? A: Take it with food. Vitamin D3 is fat-soluble, and this softgel already has MCT oil in it, so taking it with a meal usually makes the most sense.

Q: Why does this use D3 instead of D2? A: D3 is usually the form people look for when they want to raise or maintain their vitamin D levels. This one uses cholecalciferol from lanolin.

Q: Is this vegan or vegetarian? A: No. The D3 comes from lanolin, and the softgel is made with gelatin, so it isn't vegan or vegetarian.

Q: My doctor said my vitamin D is low. Which strength should I choose? A: That really depends on how low your level is and what your doctor wants you taking. 1,000 IU is a pretty common maintenance dose. The 2,500 IU and 5,000 IU versions are higher-dose options and are usually chosen based on your lab results and your provider's advice.

Q: Does it have any medication concerns? A: Possibly, yes. It's worth checking with your doctor or pharmacist if you take steroids, weight-loss drugs like orlistat, seizure meds, or certain diuretics, since those can affect vitamin D levels or calcium balance.

Q: Can I take more than one softgel a day? A: You can, but I wouldn't just wing it. The usual use is one softgel a day with food. If you're taking more than one, make sure you know whether you have the 1,000 IU, 2,500 IU, or 5,000 IU version so you don't accidentally overdo it.
