Pure Encapsulations Nutrient 950 without Copper and Iron

Looking for a supplement that’s tailor-made to your diet? Pure Encapsulations Nutrient 950 without Copper and Iron is a powerful multivitamin that gives you the vitamins and minerals your body needs — and nothing extra!

If you already get enough copper and iron from your diet, you may not want them in your supplements. Why? Copper and iron are important for everyday wellness, but more isn’t always better.

Most people get copper from nuts, seeds, and leafy greens, while iron often comes from spinach, legumes, and red meat. If those foods are already regulars on your plate, there’s a good chance you’re getting plenty of copper and iron as it is. So — what’s the big deal if you get more?

Extra copper and iron may not be ideal for everyone. That’s why it’s smart to pay attention to what’s already in your routine, including your supplements. Choosing the right multivitamin starts with a conversation with your doctor and, if needed, some testing to see where your body could use a little extra help — or where it doesn’t!

FAQs About Pure Encapsulations Nutrient 950 without Copper and Iron

Q: Who would want a multivitamin without copper and iron? A: Usually someone who already gets enough iron and copper from food or from another supplement. This one leaves both out, so it makes more sense if your practitioner told you not to add extra.

Q: Does this use the active forms of folate and B12? A: Yes. It uses Metafolin® L-5-MTHF for folate at 400 mcg, equal to 667 mcg DFE, and methylcobalamin for B12 at 500 mcg.

Q: Should I take all 3 capsules at once? A: You can, but I'd take them with meals. The suggested use is 3 capsules 1 to 2 times daily, so some people split them up because it's easier on the stomach.

Q: I've got a sensitive stomach. Is this one usually gentle? A: Yeah, for a multi, usually yes. The minerals are in forms like calcium citrate, magnesium citrate, zinc picolinate, and selenium as selenomethionine, and those tend to sit better for a lot of people.

Q: Why does this have such high amounts of some B vitamins? A: Because it's a high-potency multi, not a basic once-daily. B12 is 500 mcg, thiamin is 50 mg, riboflavin is 34.75 mg, and pantothenic acid is 200 mg. If you're sensitive to stronger multis, start with food and see how you do.

Q: My doctor said to watch vitamin A. How much is in here? A: This one has 2,250 mcg of vitamin A per 3-capsule serving, and it comes from beta carotene. The pregnancy warning still applies, so if you're pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive, check with your OB or midwife before starting it.

Q: Does it have any medication concerns? A: It can. It's a full multivitamin with vitamin K left out, but it still has higher amounts of things like chromium, iodine, and vitamin E. If you take medications or have a medical condition, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
