The Healthy Place is a wellness retailer in the Madison, Wisconsin area. We run three stores, in West Madison, Sun Prairie and Fitchburg, plus the online shop, and we stock supplements, CBD, and the everyday things people come in looking for when something feels off.
Most of the work happens on the sales floor. In practice that means helping someone compare two forms of magnesium, or working out what might settle a stomach after a round of antibiotics. The people doing that are Certified Wellness Consultants, and the training behind that title is what the store actually runs on.
The kind of work
Openings change through the year and we're not always hiring. When we are, it's usually one of three things: working the floor with customers and running the register, keeping shelves stocked and receiving deliveries across the three locations, or picking and packing web orders and answering what comes in by email and chat. Most of our people are in the first group.
You don't need a nutrition background to start. Being curious about the products and patient with someone who's trying to sort out a health problem gets you further, and the certification is something you work toward once you're here.

If nothing's open right now, it's still worth writing. Retail openings show up with little warning, and it helps to already know who's interested.
You can also just stop into any of the three stores and ask. Whoever's on the floor will know whether their location is looking for anyone.
