Plant Therapy Organic Spearmint Essential Oil
Spearmint is the gentler, slightly sweeter, and kid-safe sister of the peppermint plant. Because of its gentle nature and variety of health benefits, spearmint is one of the most popular mints. Plant Therapy Organic Spearmint Essential Oil, derived from the plant's spear-shaped leaves, is very beneficial, with powerful health-supporting properties!
Spearmint essential oil has been used all over the world for thousands of years. It is used in Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, and is even mentioned in the Bible. It’s been used for its sweet, herbaceous aroma, and can help to treat nausea, bloating, indigestion, and respiratory issues.
When diffused, Spearmint is uplifting, improves concentration, and eases physical tension in the head and neck. If you need an essential oil to help you tame daily stress, spearmint is the mood booster you need. It will even help to ease insomnia and reduce tense nerves.
On the body, the aroma can help to ease nausea and mild headaches. It’s also helpful for clearing the respiratory and sinus tracts to help fight off viruses.
We suggest diffusing organic spearmint essential oil as a general health tonic for the whole family. Not only will it be a general pick-me-up for gloomy moods and stressed-out family members, but it also gives a kickstart to the immune system.
Topically, Organic Spearmint Essential Oil can be added to a carrier oil to help speed up wound healing. It has a pleasing warming and cooling effect on the skin, which can help to relieve muscle spasms and sore muscles. It’s especially helpful when easing pain from a pulled muscle, body aches, and muscle cramps.
When diluted to 2-4% and applied to the abdomen or when used in a personal aromatherapy inhaler, Organic Spearmint Essential Oil can help to relieve a queasy stomach.
