Our Clove Bud Essential Oil is steam distilled from the flowering buds of the clove tree of Sri Lanka. Traditionally, this heart-warming, spicy essential oil has a long, proud history of use in Chinese medicine. Despite this, we’re all probably most familiar with cloves thanks to its widespread use as food spice, particularly in delicious Asian dishes.
Clove Bud Essential Oil generally contains up to 85% Eugenol, a phenol that dramatically contributes to the oil's aroma, therapeutic properties, and safety precautions. This potent essential oil also contains a number of other compounds, including the sesquiterpene B-caryophyllene and the ester Eugenyl acetate.
Clove Bud Essential Oil, or clove essential oil, is often used in blends intended to help relieve pain and discomfort. In fact, one of the primary traditional uses of clove essential oil includes easing dental pain and toothaches! Dilute with a carrier oil of your choice to apply to sore joints and muscles, or even your jaw to relieve toothaches.

Suggested Use: Use in diffusers, personal inhalers, or topically. Always dilute to a maximum of 0.5%. Do not use Organic Clove Bud Essential Oil on or near young children.
Cautions: This essential oil is not safe for children. We recommend a maximum dilution of 0.5% for topical applications. Avoid while pregnant and if you have liver and kidney conditions. May cause skin irritation. Keep out of reach of children. We do not recommend the ingestion of essential oils.

Simply massage the diluted essential oil on the outer jaw to help with the occasional toothache. Or, massage over aching joints to relieve everyday discomfort or pain from a hardcore workout.
Quick Recipe to Warm a Winter Day:
Add 5 drops Organic Clove Bud Essential Oil and 8 drops of Sweet Orange Essential Oil to a diffuser. It’ll warm and brighten a chilly winter day!
