What Is CO₂ Extracted Ginger Root Oil?

CO₂ extraction uses pressurized carbon dioxide (instead of heat or chemical solvents) to pull essential oil from the ginger root. The result is a pure, potent extract that preserves more of the ginger’s natural aromatic compounds — giving you a richer scent and greater therapeutic potential.

CO₂ extracted oils are ideal for those who want the closest thing to the plant in a bottle, with less risk of oxidation or harsh residues.

FAQs About Plant Therapy Ginger Root Essential Oil (CO₂)

Q: What makes CO₂ extracted Ginger Root Essential Oil different from steam-distilled?
A: CO₂ extraction uses carbon dioxide under pressure to pull the oil from the root, without heat. This preserves more of the plant’s natural aroma and active compounds, making for a more complete, true-to-plant extract.

Q: Can I use Ginger Root Essential Oil in a diffuser?
A: Yes! Ginger Root Essential Oil is a warming, spicy oil that works well in diffuser blends to promote focus, confidence, and emotional balance.

Q: Is Ginger Root Essential Oil safe for kids or during pregnancy?
A: Ginger essential oil is very strong. It’s generally not recommended for young children, and should only be used during pregnancy under the guidance of a qualified health provider. Always dilute before topical use.

Q: What are the best ways to use this oil topically?
A: Combine with a carrier oil and massage into the abdomen for occasional digestive relief, or apply to sore muscles post-workout. For menstrual cramps, try blending with lavender or clary sage in a warm compress.
